My family tree's
losing all its leaves,
crashing towards the driver's seat,
the lightning bolt made enough heat
to melt the street beneath your feet.

Alice died
in the night,
I've been learning to drive.
My whole life,
I've been learning. )

I had a dream about him. I can't deal with this.

Our president turned 48 yesterday. I'm still waiting for the media to start giving him the same kind of free pass his predecessor received.

Bocelli is performing with the philharmonic again, all acoustic, at the beginning of September. It's going to be a treat, if you like that sort of thing.

I know there have been far too many funerals, lately, but there's no denying the fact that, for good or ill, Crossover has become a kind of dysfunctional clinically insane terrifying extended family, and not everyone has had a chance to say goodbye. It might be sappy, but the fact remains--we're the only ones that knew about the other people memories in their respective heads, and we're the only ones that can really know how it felt, even if the families didn't know we were even friends in the first place.

That said [...] -- there will be a memorial for those we Crossover lost at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn on Sunday, June 14th, at 3pm.

To anyone that's interested, there's only one more day to catch Thomas Quasthoff singing with the philharmonic. It's just an opinion, but--he's one of the better bass/baritones working today, and totally worth the price of rush tickets. Muti conducting, which isn't exactly a minus, either.
